- Please keep your comments, in each subgroup, focused on the topic it is designated for. This is for the safety of everyone. Your comment may be deleted if necessary.
- No bigoted language towards marginalised minorities along the lines of sexual orientation, gender, race etc. This will result in an immediate ban.
- We encourage this to be a supportive community so please use the reactions tab to support one another.
- If you are having any issues please contact an admin or post in the “Community Ideas/Issues” group.
- You are allowed to privately message people but it is strongly recommended to ask the person if they are okay with being messaged. Any harassment of any member will mean an immediate ban from the community.
- No self-promotion for your business is allowed. Members who are mental health professionals are members as their recovering-self only and not in their professional capacity.
- You must have CPTSD or suspect that you do to be a member of the CPTSD groups.
- No offender-type personalities are allowed to join. Any member who acts in this way will be immediately banned from the community.
- No unsolicited advice. You can share what worked for you personally, but not tell others what to do. This includes acting as a quasi-therapist role.
Guidelines for Healthy Communication within the WhatsApp Groups
This guide was created from the experience, wisdom and compassion of many people within this CPTSD recovery community. If there is anything that you think would improve these guidelines please join the ‘Community Ideas/Issues’ group and discuss them with us.
- Be respectful to people who have views with which you disagree
- Be specific and succinct
- Do not use people’s message as a springboard to talk solely about yourself
- Consider NOT replying
- No walls of texts
- The community is more important than the individual
- Please do not post the same message in multiple groups
- Significant issues will be discussed and decided upon by admins collectively
